Conclusion about the use for studying
The book is well-organized and easy to understand for undergraduate students. Every chapter starts with an outline, then gives theoretical input which is accompanied by practice parts. Offering many of exercise, the book is designed for active engagement. However, even when skipping the exercises, students are encouraged to reflect on their existing knowledge of the topics discussed. The chapters on language issues and vocabulary for writing are especially helpful for non-native speakers. One negative point is that some exercises are designed for groups in classroom use and not for self-study.
